We grew up in a Latin family where the women in our lives had a secret weapon: the faja. Our mamás, tías and abuelas wore one to weddings, to work, to quinceañeras and to long Sunday lunches with the whole familia. Not because anyone told them to change, but because putting it on made them stand a little taller and feel like themselves, only more.
When we made our home in North America, we noticed something. Shapewear here felt like an afterthought: thin, flimsy and designed to hide. The fajas we grew up with were the opposite. Firm, sculpting and made to celebrate curves, not erase them. And the women who wanted them were stuck guessing sizes on overseas sites, in a language that often wasn't theirs, and hoping for the best.
So we started Curva Bella.
